Dr. Phatho Zondi is a medical Doctor, and the CEO of The Sport Science Institute of South Africa. She is the Chief Medical Officer for the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC), the past President for the South African Sports Medicine Association (NGO), and also serves on the Board of Directors of the South African Institute for Drug Free Sports (SAIDS.) She is also a mother and very vocal in support of women’s rights. She was on Caster Semenya’s team for her case – and was overseas with them for the duration. In addition to this, Phatho is also going to be climbing Kilimanjaro with Thuli Madonsela as part of the Trek4Mandela. Is there anything she can’t do?
