Super fan tattoos his butt to get to the URC finals

Published on

Cape Town is gearing up for the finals of the URC this weekend between the DHL Stormers and Munster at DHL Stadium. One die hard rugby fan would do just about anything to get his hands on tickets that were sold out just three hours after going on sale last week. He volunteered to permanently commemorate the historic finals on his body.

After losing a bet a few years ago, Edwin (a die-hard Blue Bulls fan) was forced to get a Stormers tattoo on his butt and now, all in the name of rugby he has a shiny new Munster tattoo to go with it too.

Tattoo artists Melissa Reyneke joined us to get the Munster logo tattooed on Edwin’s butt and she finished the job with skill and care.

We were lucky enough to have an exclusive display of the URC trophy that will hopefully stay with the DHL Stormers this weekend. Mark Keohane from SA Rugby Mag joined us this morning for a chat and brought URC CEO Charl Crous and tournament director David Jordan with him. Listen to the full conversation here:
