The Stellies angels and parents thanked their brilliant choir conductor, Andre van der Merwe, (who is also the conductor of the University of Stellenbosch choir) for his amazing skills, motivation and creativity on how he conducts the choir.  It is also the choir members discipline and hard work (even during school holidays) that enables them to perform on an international level.  The choir has 101 members from which 95 members competed in the competition.

Their choir’s brilliant conductor, Andre van der Merwe once said that “Singing does not only bring us together. It’s what makes humanity shines.”
