The state has opposed the bail bid of Corrie Pretorius, claiming his release will not only disturb public order, but that his life will be in danger because of angry community members. The 49-year old has been charged with assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm and pointing of a firearm after he allegedly assaulted a 16-year-old boy at a fish and chips shop in a small Limpopo town, Grobersdal, apparently over the use of  seasoning. The court will render judgment of the bail application on Wednesday.
