Two teenagers, aged 15 and 19, have been charged with the murder and attempted murder.

Jansen’s funeral will be held on Saturday, at the AFM church in Eerste River. Smile 90.4FM spoke to Jansen’s girlfriend Raadiyah Fester:

“Ruben was a sweet, caring, loving person. He didn’t bother anyone, or take from anyone. He didn’t harm anyone. He was the type of person that would literally go out of his way for the next person,” said Fester.

The court matter resumes in the Blue Downs Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday when the 19-year-old returns to the dock. The 15-year-old suspect will return to court on 16 September.
