It has been a chilly start to winter in Cape Town. Smile 90.4FM, in partnership with MTN; have been working hard to bring comfort and warmth to Capetonians who need it most.
The Share the Warmth campaign was initiated for the sole purpose of providing blankets to retirement homes, the underprivileged, orphanages and homeless persons. From the start of the campaign, listeners, companies, NGO’s and scholars have put their hearts into sharing the warmth by donating blankets… with every generous donation, 3000 less fortunate people will be that much warmer throughout this cold period.
“Through the Smile in Action initiative, we are proud to have once again made a difference to many lives by adding warmth this Cape Town winter. This has only been possible through the generosity once again from our loyal, giving and caring audience. A big thank you” said Smile 90.4FM Managing Director, Lois O’Brien.
“MTN is proud to have partnered with this wonderful initiative, which has managed to provide warmth to over 3000 individuals through the Western Cape. Using our MTN stores as drop off points for donations also aligns to our 21 Days of Y’ello Care initiative, which takes place every year from 1-21 June,” said MTN Regional Marketing Manager, Lache Woldson-Samuels.
Smile in Action continues to change the lives of those around us. None of this would have been possible without our loyal and valuable listeners.
