Second suspect arrested for Wynberg Court murder

Published on

Western Cape serious and violent crime detectives are hailing another significant arrest in the Wynberg Court murder probe, as a 24-year-old suspect will appear in the same court on Tuesday, 22 April.

This forms part of ongoing investigations into the murder of a 50-year-old man at the Wynberg Regional Court on 8 April 2025.

The victim, Cintso Dingalomoya, who was a taxi boss from Vrygrond, was gunned down outside a courtroom on the 4th floor of the courthouse, sparking security concerns.

It is alleged that Dingalomoya’s assassination was a revenge killing, due to his alleged involvement in the slaying of a gang member.

In an earlier breakthrough, a 35-year-old woman who was arrested as part of the same investigation appeared in court on Monday, 13 April. She is expected back in court on Wednesday, 23 April.

Police Brigadier Novela Potelwas says with the investigation unfolding, the team has been questioning a number of individuals and steady progress is being made in efforts to apprehend all those responsible for the murder.

She says further arrests will be made in due course.
