France’s Rugby World Cup 2023 journey began with a historic clash against New Zealand, leaving rugby enthusiasts worldwide in awe. In a thrilling encounter, France emerged victorious with a score of 27-13, etching their name in the annals of the sport.

The match started with a bang as New Zealand scored the fastest opening try in World Cup history within just 91 seconds. However, France, led by Thomas Ramos, their full-back, showcased remarkable resilience and skill to regain the lead by halftime.

Key moments included Mark Telea’s try for New Zealand and a crucial try by Damian Penaud for France, which turned the tide decisively in favor of the French. Replacement player Melvyn Jaminet added another try, sealing the historic win.

The victory was not only significant for France but also marked the first time the mighty All Blacks were defeated in the pool stages of the tournament, ending their 31-game pool stage winning streak.

This monumental win sets the stage for France’s upcoming clash against Uruguay, with the French team brimming with confidence and momentum. Meanwhile, New Zealand will regroup and seek redemption in their next match against Namibia.
