Research shows covid-19 can survive on some surfaces for up to 28 days!

Published on

Australian researchers have found that covid-19 can survive for up to 28 days on surfaces such as bank-notes, glass and stainless steel.

The researchers say it is much longer than the 17 days that the common flu virus can survive on surfaces.

The study does however show that the virus’ survival time decreased, as temperatures increased to 20, 30 and 40 degrees Celsius.

Researcher at the Australian National Science Agency, Shane Redell, says it is therefore important to disinfect your cell-phone and wallet regularly.
