The registration of first-year University students will be extended by another 2 weeks to ensure that students, who have not yet received confirmation of their University-funding, are not excluded from registering this year.

This, according to Minister of Higher Education and Science, Blade Nzimande who said that funding for first-year students will only be confirmed at a later stage.

The Minister yesterday confirmed that all continuing students, who have met the academic requirements of their respective institutions, will continue to receive financial-support from NSFAS.
