Despite concerning crime figures and challenging economic conditions faced by many South Africans, President Cyril Ramaphosa believes the country is in a better situation today than it was before 1994. Addressing Freedom Day celebrations in Mpumalanga yesterday, he focused the bulk of his speech on the successes since the middle 90’s, while also acknowledging the challenges still being faced in the country.
