President Cyril Ramaphosa has launced a private sector response fund to help in the fight against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide in the country. The fund is aimed at supporting the implementation of the National Strategic Plan. Last year, Ramaphosa declared the scourge of gender-based violence a second pandemic which the country had to contend while it also faced the coronavirus pandemic.
