The Malta-registered premium cruise ship, Mein Schiff 6, is currently docked at Cape Town Harbour ahead of a 20-day journey along Africa’s West Coast. The voyage will conclude in Trieste, Italy, on 15 June 2025.
The vessel is scheduled to set sail from Cape Town on Tuesday, 27 May, making its first stop in Walvis Bay, Namibia, on Thursday, 29 May.
From there, Mein Schiff 6 will spend nine consecutive days at sea, carrying approximately 2,600 passengers, before arriving in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, on 8 June.
The penultimate stop will be Gibraltar on 10 June, followed by another four days at sea before reaching Trieste in the early hours of 15 June.

Later this year, the Mein Schiff 6 will host an adults-only voyage, offering a 23-day journey for guests ages 18 and up.
The voyage will depart from Cape Town on November 17, 2025, and arrive in Singapore on December 10, 2025.
Cruise tourism remains a vital contributor to Cape Town’s economy, generating over R1.3 billion during the 2023/24 season.
As the 2024/25 season draws to a close, the number of cruise ships that have docked in the Mother City has already surpassed the previous season’s total, marking another year of strong growth for the sector.
