The nominations for the 95th Academy Awards are live! The sci-fi drama, Everything Everywhere All At Once led the pack with 11 nods. Not to mention, Michelle Yeoh is the second Asian woman nominated for Best Actress since the first Academy Awards in 1929.

Nominees include blockbuster films like Top Gun and Avatar. And Irish dark comedy, The Banshees of Inisherin nabbed 9 nominations.

Both Avatar: The Way of Water and Top Gun: Maverick are nominated for the Best Picture A. Angela Bassett became the first star in a Marvel movie to ever earn an Oscar nomination for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Meanwhile, another barrier breaker is the song, Naatu Naatu, which comes from the Telegu-language Indian film, RRR. It is the first song from a completely Indian production nominated for the award.
