NPA restrained R13m from former police boss and co-accused

The National Prosecuting Authority’s Asset Forfeiture Unit has successfully restrained assets to the tune of R13 million belonging to former police boss Richard Mdluli and his co-accused in the crime intelligence slush fund case. The restraint order was served on Mdluli, former Crime Intelligence head of supply chain management Heine Barnard and former SAPS Crime Intelligence chief financial officer Solomon Lazarus on Tuesday.
