Nico Panagio, The Sound of Freedom, and Missing Children SA

Nico Panagio is no stranger to South African tv, film, and radio. While he’s not entertaining us on the screen or hosting Survivor South Africa, he also head up Missing Children South Africa. It’s his work with Missing Children SA that led him to his interest in the new film Sound of Freedom.

Missing Children South Africa is a first tier emergency response service that assists the South African Police Service in all missing persons cases in the country. Sound of Freedom, starring Jim Caviezel, is based on the incredible true story of Tim Ballard. After rescuing a young boy from ruthless child traffickers, federal agent Tim Ballard learns the boy’s sister is still captive and embarks on a dangerous mission to save her.

Through his work on the breakfast show he has won two national radio awards. He has been in broadcasting for 15 years and has honed his talent at 6 different radio stations. Outside of radio he is also a podcast producer and award winning stand-up comedian.
