New Forensic Pathology Institute Facility to open doors mid-2020

Published on

The Western Cape Department of Health says its new Forensic Pathology Institute is more than 90-percent complete and will provide state-of-the art forensic pathology facilities and services to the province.

Billed at a total cost of R 281-million, the facility will be located at the entrance of the Groote Schuur Hospital, and will ease some of the pressure currently experienced at the Salt River Forensic Pathology Institute facility.

Communications Officer: Emergency Medical Services & Forensic Pathology Services at the WCDH, Deanna Bessick, says the facility will be completed towards the middle of 2020.
