More than 500 children and young people aged 19 and younger have died from covid-19 in the country, since the start of the pandemic.

The National Institute of Communicable Diseases has released its latest report looking at this age group, for the period 1 March 2020 to 28 August this year. Over the same period, more than 2.2-million tests in this age group were conducted, with a positivity rate of 15.8%.
