Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize says African countries should now start investing in their own vaccine-production facilities.
Mkhize participated in a UNESCO-briefing this past week and says that even though initiatives like the WHO-led Covax-facility promises to provide African-countries with Covid-19 vaccines, these allocations would not be sufficient to vaccinate all residents in those countries.
He says African countries have the necessary skills, man-power and knowledge to make this a reality.
