Strengthening South Africa’s ties with Botswana would see trade between the two SADC neighbours boosted even further. This is according to Trade and Industry Minister, Ebrahim Patel who this week attended the Botswana-SA business forum in Gaborone. Patel again reiterated the need for the African Continental Free Trade Area to approve rules of origin to make it easy for trade between the two economies. The Minister says to further boost cross-border trade red tape and bureaucratic processes should also be reduced or eliminated.
