Madiba was always smiling despite his struggle, Prince Harry

Published on

Prince Harry has called on the world to commit to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s life and legacy every day, not only once a year. He was the keynote speaker at the UN General Assembly event in New York yesterday, to mark International Nelson Mandela Day. Harry also spoke fondly about a photo that the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu gifted him and his wife on their visit to Cape Town in 2019, a photograph of his mother Diana and Madiba, laughing together. He remarked how Mandela was always smiling, despite the Apartheid regime stealing 27 years of his life.
