President Cyril Ramaphosa last night announced that the country would remain on level 1 of lockdown, over the Easter weekend.

He says the curfew would remain unchanged, while beaches and public places would also remain open to the public.

He, however, announced that the consumption of alcohol would be restricted.

He says even though religious gatherings are important to many South Africans, caution should be taken, to avoid the spread of the virus at these events.

He further urged South Africans to be vigilant, when they DO decide to attend large gatherings.

He, once again, reminded South Africans to adhere to the Covid-19 health- and safety-regulations.

Ramaphosa says the further spread of the virus, could be prevented if everyone works together.
