Grade 12 learners who are positive for, or who show signs of covid-19, will now be allowed to write their end-of-year examinations.
The Department of Basic Education says those learners, who present temperatures of higher than 38-degrees on the day of their exam, will be allowed to sit for their respective exams.
Spokes-person at the Department, Elijah Mhlanga, says learners will however be moved to other venues, to complete their exams in isolation.
Mhlanga says learners would also be required to see a medical doctor, as soon as they have finished writing their exam.
