The MEC for health in KwaZulu-Natal has lost half of her next salary because she was caught at a party without a mask.

Nomagugu Simelane and other guests attended a party on August 22 and were filmed dancing without masks on.

KwaZulu-Natal premier Sihle Zikalala says Simelane has received a warning and must also apologize to the public within seven days.

50% of her next salary will be donated to non-governmental organizations.
