KZN flood-related death toll has risen to 341

KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala says 341 people died as a result of heavy downpours and flooding across the province.

Zikalala said more than 40 000 people have been affected and 55 injuries have been reported.

Zikalala said they are still trying to establish the number of people that were missing.

More than 248 schools have been damaged.

Zikalala said the government has been hard at work to mitigate the impact on the ground
