A young boy from Gordon’s Bay is warming hearts across the Mother City with his selflessness.

9 year old Joshua Roos, who lives with his grandmother Manda Roos, recently started a soup kitchen and it has since gone from strength to strength.

Manda Roos says one day Joshua came running into her room and told her about his idea.

Roos said she decided to post about the idea on Facebook to try to get donations, as her disability grant would not sustain the idea.

Last year, on Youth Day Joshua said he wanted to have a celebration, and they ended up feeding more than 100 kids.

He is also involved in helping the local old-age home, and last week he made burgers for firefighters.

Listen to this adorable voice note of Joshua that he sent to Smile 90.4 FM:

With his family fully behind him, we wish Joshua all the best, and hope that he can reach his goal of feeding as many people as possible. Thank you Joshua for making us all feel warm inside!
