It’s time to celebrate French flair in the Heart of the Winelands. All the action is taking place this weekend, July 12-13. Event-goers will be able to experience a weekend of wine, culture & celebration.

Franschhoek’s most iconic winter event is back! The Franschhoek Bastille Festival 2025 promises a vibrant weekend of French-inspired festivities on Saturday, 12 and Sunday, 13 July. Sponsored by global financial services company Prescient, the 33rd edition of this much-loved festival brings a refreshed experience to the picturesque village.

 

New Venue, Heartwarming Traditions

 

This year, the festival introduces an exciting new location, and it’s the Hospice parking area, right in the heart of Franschhoek. The scenic new setting will host the festival’s central attraction. It will add fresh charm to the annual celebration of French culture, fine wines, and gourmet fare.

Bastille 2025 continues its tradition of honouring the valley’s French heritage with a weekend brimming with wine and cheese tastings and artisan food stalls. There’s also going to be live music and the ever-popular best-dressed competition.

 

Bastille Celebrations Postponed

 

Festivalgoers are encouraged to dress in their finest blue, white and red. Prizes are up for grabs for the most creative French-themed outfits. Each ticket includes a festival wine glass and 10 tasting tokens, which can be redeemed at a variety of Franschhoek’s esteemed wineries.
