This is the last bits of my conversation with Education MEC Debbie Schaffer following the inaugural Future Focused Education Conference held in CT last month.
As the name suggests, this overdue gathering focussed on the future of learning, teaching and classrooms, the three core elements of e-learning.
The over all aim is to get our kids ready for the 4th Industrial Revolution.
The problem is, nobody is quite sure of the skills we’ll be needing, so we might be mis-training our kids for what’s to come.
Debbie Schafer told me that there are ways and means to prepare our young people for this promised future.
Because technology is moving at such breakneck speeds, it’s impossible to catch up with the future’s human resource requirements.
But in this way it won’t matter, because they will be ready to take on those jobs that don’t even exist yet?
