iSmile Report – New tech connections for local entrepreneurs

Published on

Local tech entrepreneurs interested in international opportunities with the UK, must keep an eye on news from the newly established South Africa UK Tech Hub. Falling under Britain’s Department of International Trade, the body was one of the sponsors of the inaugural Africa Tech Week, held last month. Two lucky entrants won all-expenses paid trips to London Tech Week in June.

They also provided one of the most coveted prizes – two all-expenses paid trips to the London Tech Week in June. British Consul General in SA, Benjamin Boddy says the initiative aims to link up SA’s tech ecosystem, with the UK’s in ways that can benefit both.  He says they also want to exchange useful knowledge that can contribute towards lifting people out of poverty, by making sure they are included in the digital revolution.

You can find them on social media: “UK in SA” … or click on www.gov.uk to find useful links.
