New Zealand, ranked 2nd in the world for Test matches and also known as the Black Caps , the team is 4th in ODIs and 6th in T20Is.
The Black Caps is captained by Kane Williamson who is one of the top two batsman in the world cricket alongside countryman Henry Nicholls. The squad also boast with world renowned bowler Neil Wagner and all-rounders Tim Southee and Colin de Grandhomme.
New Zealand has reached the CWC semifinals 7 times, but they have never won the trophy. They defeated South Africa in the semifinal of the 2015 World Cup which was their first win in a world cup semifinal, and their maiden World Cup Final against Australia.
The Black Caps are extremely good on home soil, but will certainly look to stamp their mark on English soil at this year’s tournament, hoping to shed their tag as the World Cup’s nearly men.
