Here is how to help those displaced in the Langa fire

The City’s Disaster Coordinating Team has identified drop off points for donations for persons affected by the Langa fire.

More than 300 structures were destroyed on Saturday evening, affecting 1200 people.

Those who want to assist can contact:

  • The Urban Rural Development (083 521 0328), City of Cape Town Housing Department, cnr Langalibalele Drive and Lerotholi Avenue, Langa
  • Mustadafin Foundation (076 422 1667), corner of Heide and Antelope Court, Bridgetown.
  • Members of the public can donate non-perishable items, disposable nappies, baby food, blankets and sanitary items.
