Western Cape police are investigating a quadruple murder following a shooting incident in Mthuma Street, Site C, Khayelitsha, on Saturday evening, 26 September 2026.

Khayelitsha police responded to the scene at about 19:15 and found three men with multiple gunshot wounds at the scene. Two of the victims were found inside a stationary vehicle, while the third victim was found next to the vehicle. They were declared deceased at the scene.

A fourth victim, who had also sustained gunshot wounds, was transported to a medical facility in a private vehicle but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries upon arrival.

According to information gathered at the scene, the victims were reportedly inside the vehicle when they were shot. At this stage, the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and no suspect has been identified or arrested.

The motive for the shooting has not yet been established.

The Provincial Serious and Violent Crime detectives are continuing with the investigation and are working to establish the circumstances that led to the shooting and to identify those responsible.
