Why let them have all the fun? You deserve some time with the console too. After all, you probably bought it. And imagine the excited look on their face when you set them a new high score to beat!

4. Open up a bag of chips as loudly as you want and not share it

You know the pain of very carefully opening your favourite snack and sounding the alarm bells. A child’s hearing is supersonic when it comes to the crinkle of a sweet wrapper or chips packet. Now you get to do it as loud as you want. Just get rid of the evidence – vacuum the crumbs and throw away the packet.

3. Stay quite and listen very very carefully for the sound of not hearing “I’m boooooooored”

Sometimes all you need is a bit of peace and quiet.

2. Walk around in your ontie without judgemental looks from your teenager

With the heat of a South African Summer and Eskom not helping much when it comes to using your aircon, now you can strip down into your tighty whities and enjoy the freedom for a few hours.

1. Give your partner the look, take them to the bedroom, and have some…

…Sleep

Not sure what you were thinking but just have that nap. You’ve earned it.
