Extra trains for Bok match this Saturday

PRASA has announced that additional train services will be available for spectators attending the highly anticipated Castle Lager Rugby Championship at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday, 23 August.

This special train service will be running across the Southern Corridor and Cape Flats Corridor for a fare of R20 per return ticket, provided commuters can produce a valid match day ticket.

 

Normal train fares will apply for the normal train service across Cape Town.

 

Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to purchase their return train tickets at the stations and to adhere to the train schedules to ensure timely arrival and departure from the stadium.

The additional special trains on the Southern and Cape Flats Corridors will operate on the following schedule:

Southern Corridor:

 

Additional outbound trains from Cape Town to Fish Hoek/Simons Town:

 

  • T0129 departing at 19:30 Cape Town to Simons Town
  • T0131 departing at 20:00 Cape Town to Fish Hoek
  • T0133 departing at 20:30 Cape Town to Simons Town
  • T0135 departing at 21:00 Cape Town to Fish Hoek

 

Cape Flats Corridor:

 

Additional inbound train from Retreat to Cape Town:

 

  • T0516 departing at 14:15

 

Additional outbound trains from Cape Town to Retreat:

 

  • T0517 departing at 20:05
  • T0519 departing at 21:05

 

Park and Ride facilities:

 

Commuters who wish to park their vehicles at train stations can do so at a cost of R50 per vehicle at the following participating stations:

 

Southern Corridor:

 

  • Muizenberg
  • Heathfield
  • Kenilworth
  • Claremont
  • Wittebome

Cape Flats Corridor:

 

  • Maitland
  • Retreat

 

On arrival at Cape Town Station, passengers can walk along the short, safe, and secure 200m fan walk from Cape Town Station to Cape Town Civic Centre, where the free MyCiTi bus service will take them to DHL Stadium.

 

MyCiTi will run bus services from 11:30 to 21:30.
