Extended hours at Driving Licence Testing Centres

Published on

The City’s Driving License Testing Centres will offer extended hours during this week, 5 to 11 December 2022.

This to facilitate the collection of driving license cards, and any other transactions that motorists need to finalise before the peak holiday season, when many in the city plan to take road trips.

There were some delays with the national card production machine again a few months ago, which have been resolved.

However, the City’s DLTCs are now receiving large volumes of driving license cards – some that were delayed due to the challenges with the card production machine.

A list of the extended operating hours is available HERE.

Motorists are encouraged to make use of these extended hours, before they head off to enjoy their holidays.

The City launched its integrated Festive Season Policing Plan earlier this month, with a big focus on road safety.

4 600 operational members from the Metro Police, Traffic Services and Law Enforcement will be deployed in accordance with the combined Festive Season preparedness plan of the three policing departments.
