This weekend, the city marks a remarkable milestone in Cape Town running history in a remarkable way. Denver van der Bergh will be taking on a 120km run to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Celtic Harriers Running Club.
More than just the distance
The 120KM run is being held to celebrate Celtic Harriers Running Club’s 120th birthday and to raise funds for Uncle Bertie, a beloved Celtic Harriers member who is living with cancer. The run will start and finish at the Celtic Harriers clubhouse. Runners and supporters can join for any distance along the route, depending on how far they would like to run. They can meet at points such as Hout Bay, Camps Bay or Sea Point before continuing. Entry fees are R120 per person and can be purchased here.
