Museum of The Future adds to Dubai’s skyline

The Museum of Future in Dubai has finally opened it’s doors and reports are that it is nothing short of mind-blowing.

So much so, that a video showing a flying vehicle entering the building roof took the internet by storm a few weeks, going viral in the process.

It’s unlikely that it was real, but was still an impressive piece of marketing for a building that is being hailed as the world’s most advanced and most beautiful.

Museum Of The Future opens in futuristic style

In true Dubai style, the opening of the Museum of the Future was a truly glitzy affair, starting with the jetpack extraordinaire Richard Browning performing gravity-defying flybys and delivering invitations.

While it was built to house displays and exhibitions of future-tech, the building itself an engineering marvel, a stunning display of architectural innovation.

Unique Arabic calligraphy is built into the design of the stainless steel façade, which of course lights up at night, like most of Dubai’s buildings.

The building is a marvel, inside and out

Seven storeys high, the Museum of the Future is a hollow ellipse-shaped structure, with each floor promising different futuristic experiences like none other.

For example, one of the exhibits is a solar-park that is actually used to power the entire building.

So while museums are usually dedicated to antiquities from the past, this museum turns that on it’s head, giving us stunning displays of future concepts, visions, innovations and designs that could change the world.

Living up to – and exceeding expectations

Inside the Museum of the Future there are life-sized Holographic displays, mind-blowing Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality interfaces, a Starship Enterprise experience and another called “A journey to the year 2071.”

Most of those who have been inside the museum report being complete blown away by the displays and exhibitions, anticipating even greater things in the future.

Because that is after all what the venue is all about.
