Die presiese oorsprong van die uitbreking van listeriose in Suid-Afrika, wat bykans 200 lewens geëis en honderde mense siek gemaak het, is nog nie vasgestel nie. Dit beteken egter nie die regering het sy werk in dié verband gestaak nie – die waarneming gaan voort.
