It’s all systems go for the world’s largest cycle race – the 2020 edition of the Cape Town Cycle Tour. The race which starts on Sunday, 8 March, has already brought hundreds of tourists from across the world to the Mother City, with 35000 participants riding the 109km route across the Cape Peninsula. There is also the small matter of the Coronavirus outbreak to take into consideration but according to the race Director, Dave Bellairs the race will take place.
Bellairs says they are monitoring the situation with regards to the coronavirus outbreak, and they are working very closely with both provincial and national health authorities. This after several participants from red zone countries cancelled their entries.
