The global COVID19 outbreak has resulted in widespread panic, with health officials across the world on high alert.

Coronavirus – a fast-moving infection originating in China – has spread to more than 80 countries and is continuing to claim lives.

Smile 90.4 FM News will give regular updates several times a day, to inform listeners on the situation locally and globally, and to dispel the fake news that is doing the rounds.

Listen out for these updates throughout the day.

For more information on COVID19, contact the National Institute For Communicable Diseases. They also have a toll-free number 0800 029 999
