Could Ramaphosa have stopped State Capture if acted with ‘more urgency’

In finding the ANC under former president Jacob Zuma “permitted, supported and enabled corruption and state capture”, Chief Justice Raymond Zondo has questioned whether it could have been stopped had President Cyril Ramaphosa “acted with more urgency”. The final installment of the State Capture Commission report was released last night – a week after the commission’s deadline expired – and the findings against the ANC and Zuma are damning, with Ramaphosa’s role also questioned.
