CAPE TOWN IN TOP 10 “MOST BEAUTIFUL” CITIES

Cape Town has come in at number seven on Flight Network’s list of the World’s Most Beautiful Cities for 2019. list of 50 best cities in the world was compiled by Flight Network, a Canadian online travel agency.

Mayor Dan Plato says Cape Town remains one of the most beautiful cities in the eyes of the world, with much to offer visitors to our wonderful city.

“We are humbled that Cape Town has been named as the best location on the continent and hope that travellers continue to see Cape Town as a must-see destination. More than 300 000 job opportunities are supported by the local tourism industry so accolades such as these are important in sustaining the interest from the international community that continues to contribute towards job creation. The tourism sector has the biggest growth potential and awards like these are necessary in helping to support our tourism stakeholders.”

According to the list, the top 10 most beautiful cities in the world are:

· Paris, France

· New York, USA

· London, England

· Venice, Italy

· Vancouver, Canada

· Barcelona, Spain

· Cape Town, South Africa

· San Francisco, USA

· Sydney, Australia

· Rome, Italy

The reviews and opinions of more than 1 000 travel writers, bloggers and travel agencies from all across the globe form the basis of the list. The only other African city to make the list is Marrakech, Morocco, which comes in at no. 46.
