At least 105 people have lost their lives in road accidents in 4 provinces over the long Easter weekend. According to traffic authorities, of the total deaths, 47 were in KwaZulu-Natal, 30 in Gauteng, 21 in the Western Cape & 7 people in the Eastern Cape.

Motorists will have to dig deeper into their pockets from midnight, when a record increase in the fuel price takes effect. Petrol will cost more by between 94 cents and R1 a liter. A liter of diesel will from tomorrow, cost between 63 and 65 cents more.
