Bryoni Govender will be representing South Africa at the 2024 Miss Supranational pageant. The 15th edition of Miss Supranational will be held in Nowy Sącz in Poland on 6 July.

The pageant will see Andrea Aguilera of Ecuador crown her successor at the end of the event.

Meanwhile, Govender says she’s delighted to be the South African representative at this year’s beauty event.
“I am incredibly excited and honoured to have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Miss Supranational competition,” she said.

She added that she’s been working tirelessly to prepare herself both mentally and physically for the competition.
Govender elaborated, “These preparations have included intense training sessions to enhance my physical fitness, catwalk, poise and stage presence.”
At the same time, she believes her previous international pageantry experience (she participated in Miss Universe last year) stands her in good stead.

Govender has also been working with top-notch trainers to improve her communication skills and develop a strong and impactful voice.
She says it has taught her invaluable lessons about confidence and grace as these platforms demand more than physical beauty.

It’s also about owning your uniqueness and embracing it.
“I always say that the most important thing for me when preparing for any competition is to have a positive and healthy mindset and to have put in all the necessary work,” she revealed.
Govender adds that she has been overwhelmed with the backing she has received since she was named runner-up at the Miss South Africa 2023 pageant.
Campaign on women empowerment
She has a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Johannesburg and was admitted as an attorney last year.
