    President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to host a family meeting at 19h00 on Sunday, 13 July 2025, following serious allegations made against senior political figures, including Minister Senzo Mchunu and top leadership within the South African Police Service (SAPS).   The address follows a public statement made by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, during a media briefing on Sunday, 6 July, while the President was attending a BRICS summit in Brazil.

  The family of a young South African woman, Paige Bell, has travelled to the Bahamas seeking justice for her murder.   20-year-old Bell, from KwaZulu-Natal, was killed on a luxury motorboat in the Caribbean island country on 3 July 2025.
