The Western Cape Department of Agriculture has announced that there have been new outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), commonly referred to as “bird flu” in parts of the province. South Africa’s young maths stars have made history at the International Mathematics Olympiad held in Australia recently, achieving their best result in 25 years! The team placed 38th out of 110 countries, with one silver medal, four bronze, and one learner receiving an honourable mention.
