  The City’s Law Enforcement Department has confirmed an incident in Valhalla Park on Friday afternoon, where officers and their vehicles came under attack from members of the public.   Chaos broke out after an officer lost control of a vehicle while pursuing a suspect, accidentally colliding with three members of the public.   The officers, deployed as part of an operation in the area, had responded to gunshots at approximately 15:26.   They encountered

  Kraaifontein police are investigating four counts of murder, an attempted murder, as well as a rape, following three separate shooting incidents in Wallacedene in the early hours of Sunday morning, as well as a stabbing death in Bloekombos on Saturday.   In the first shooting, at approximately 01:00 on Sunday morning, a 35-year-old man was gunned down in the Mhongqo informal settlement.   In another incident close by, a man was shot and wounded.

  Police in the Western Cape are investigating a shooting in Ekopoleni, Happy Valley, Mfuleni, that left three men dead and a fourth wounded on Friday night.   According to SAPS, the victims, aged between 24 and 27, were fatally shot at around 22:41.   Western Cape Mobility MEC Isaac Sileku has announced the temporary closure of several major taxi routes in response to escalating violence in the industry that has claimed multiple lives.   Following a decision by the provincial Cabinet, Section 91 of the National Land Transport Act will be invoked to impose extraordinary measures from Wednesday, 17 September.   The restrictions will last 30 days and affect routes linking Khayelitsha, Mfuleni, Nomzamo, Lwandle, and Somerset West,
