    Six taxis have been impounded on Wednesday morning amid the temporary route closures between Khayelitsha, Mfuleni and Somerset West. The City of Cape Town’s Safety and Security Directorate has also established a Joint Operations Centre (JOC).     The trade union federation, COSATU, said it is deeply disappointed with the decision to shut down certain taxi routes in Cape Town.   This is because 10 routes linking Khayelitsha, Mfuleni, Lwandle, Nomzamo and Somerset West were closed for a period of 30 days on Wednesday morning, in a bid to quell ongoing violence in the taxi industry.   ALSO READ: Golden Arrow adds buses amid taxi route closures   He said the decision

  Police have confirmed that a three-year-old girl, Jermica Andrews, who went missing last week with 17-year-old Zoe Joshua from Elsies River, was found safe and unharmed in Kleinvlei on Tuesday morning, 16 September and has since been reunited with her family.   However, the search for Zoe continues.   According to police, Zoe left home on Thursday, 11 September, taking Jermica with her without informing anyone.   It is not known why or how
