  The City’s Safety and Security Directorate is working closely in support of SAPS and the Department of Home Affairs to deal with any possible disruptions and unrest related to planned anti-illegal immigration protests today, 30 June.   The City says it has activated area-based Joint Operations Centres, which are managed by the Disaster Coordinating Team (DCT) in Goodwood.   Teams continue to monitor for any disruptions and credible threats leading up to 30 June.

  A Malawian national has been arrested at the Beitbridge Port of Entry after authorities discovered explosive cables concealed inside luggage during a routine inspection of an Interlink bus travelling from Malawi.   The interception was made on Sunday by a vigilant border guard from the Border Management Authority (BMA), who flagged suspicious luggage during standard checks. Upon closer inspection, officers discovered explosive cables hidden inside a bag of rice.   The BMA Acting Commissioner,
