For inland provinces –  the Free State, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, North West and Limpopo that day has arrived.  Motshekga has also clarified that 30% is not the pass requirement for matrics. Meanwhile, the National Professional Teachers Organisation of South Africa is calling for SOME grades to return to full-time learning this year. The department has confirmed that schools will remain on a rotational basis due to Covid-19 protocols. But Naptosa says the damage caused during the pandemic by rotational and online schooling has been significant.
